Abstract
This essay takes into account the poetic peculiarity of Balzac’s work from the political point of view. More in detail, this analysis offers a realistic and materialistic reading of the thickness in terms of immanence in relation to Balzac’s world. Thanks to this evaluation, the essays attempts to interpret the meaning and the features of power. Notably, Balzac reflected historically on these issues by assessing the role played by the publishing industry at the time of the mass society appearance.
